Making Lemonade

I'm a mom of 3, happily married and working part time. We live on a tight budget and I like to find creative ways to make it work. I like to post about my family, my crafts and my random thoughts! Enjoy!

Grandparents! Gosh we they glad to see her while she was home. I had to fight for time with her! But I'm glad that she is so loved and adored! Here Esther was playing with Grandpa P's mouth. She was checking his teeth like a dentist!

And slapping his face a little( we're working on eliminating that!!)

Grandpa C.

Grandpa C showing her the puppet Mommy made for her to go with Cody's (but hers is a girl named Limona)
"Now Uncle matthew, I'm going to show you how to write a perfect syllabus while only typing with one finger!!"

Cody meets Limon , the puppet Aunt cathy made for him

Aunt cathy, Uncle david and Cody play on the couch
A lot of "firsts" this month.
here's her first guitar lesson. She's working on "Stairway to Heaven".
Esther got to play with rockie while we were home for Christmas.

She liked to feed her and Rockie liked to be fed. It worked out
great.

The ear was her favorite part to try and "catch" as Rockie went by
Camden and Esther meet their friends Emma and Lulu at the coffee place. Esther was distracted by her pretzel, so she didn't smile:(
SO sweet!
My friend Susanna came back from the Croatian mission field for Christmas, so Esther and I got to play with her and Camden for an afternoon.

Esther missed a nap that day too, so the swing wasn't as fun as usual!

We have Pigtails! I distracted her with my cell phone so that I could get these in her hair! I was so excited!

So is she!!!
( By the way, this page is dedicated to Sandy and Laurie who ever so kindly responded to cries of distress.
Thank you , and future blogging will be attributed to your acts of kindness:)

I'm going to go on a blog stike if I don't get more feedback from ya'll . I want to keep you updated on us but I don't know if anyone checks because there not very many comments here.
Aunt Susan and Laurie and sometimes my dad, but come on people!! It's not that hard. Just let me know you saw the pictures. Just say "hi", or soemthing. Throw me a bone here!!!
We went to a lights display near where David works on Sat. night. It was very cool. It was like being in a cartoon world, esp. with the cool glasses that made all the lights look like stars!

Here we are in front of the caterpillar. See the eyes on either sides of us.

Then there was this cool dragon that blew out smoke fron it's nose!

Esther tried the glasses. but she wasn't so impressed, oh well. She did like the lights though. I guess it was worth the wait!
Esther got a driving lesson while we were waiting in line to see the Christmas lights. SHe was screaming in her car seat( after waiting about an hour in line) so we took her out and let her see the world from the driver's seat. She squealed with delight, pushed all the buttons....

tried to shift

and steared the car for Daddy (while we waited, of corse)
Esther tries to eat mommy's nose.

And smoosh her face

and cuddle too!

Esther LOVES being in her snowsuit. She actually hates it and cries and cries until we get outside, and then she's usually okay. She's so funny in it though. She's like Ralphy's brother from "The Christmas Story" because she literally can't move.

It's new game when she's on our shoulders that she tried to peer down at you. She moves her whole body so that she can see your face. We actually didn't get it on film, but these pictures are cute anyway:)

Easy on Daddy's face, there little girl!
As some of you know, we are looking at houses to buy. This one luckily didn't make the cut even though it was close. We were going to fix it up, but we decided against it. We like being happily married! we've heard too many
horror stories:) If you like my attire, I'll just have you know that I ran over to this house from our apt. to bring David the camera. I don't usually wear headbands :)
We have our tree up and I completely adore it. I sing to it every day:)
Esther has been very " nice" to it as well, seeing as how she ca't really reachthe branches.

I also included pictures of the cute pillows i made. Those ones on the end have snowmen on them. They were a pattern given to my by the lovely Dr. Laurie jc Cella last Christmas. (Thank you)!

On Saturday we went to buy our first real christmas tree. We had funhiding behind the tree and "pretending we were lost." It was only fun until people started to think we were crazy, and then we were jsut back to finding the perfect tree..

We ended up going with a 4 footer so that we could put it up on our nice wooded TV stand so that Esther wouldn't get "involved" in it..if ya know what I mean. We were debating "well, do we want her to eat big needles or little needles!"
So far she doesn't seem too interested and it's too high for her to reach, but it's only been up for 2 days..
we'll keep you posted!
Babies are not too happy here!

Grandma's joy!

Cody takes a closer look
